Battleground Speedway, located just East of Houston, is the "track within a track". A 1/8 mile, high-banked, dirt oval track inside of the larger 3/8 mile, high-banked, dirt oval track make the Battleground location unique in facilities as well as classes of cars.
Every Saturday night, from March through September, we drop the green flag on the most diverse classes of cars that you will find in all of Southeast Texas. Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Stock Cars, Street Stocks, and Thunderbombers tear it up on the big track while Turf Cars, Dwarfs, and Mini-Dwarfs round out the action on the small track.
In addition to the weekly racing, Battleground Speedway hosts the several big events. The 750 H.P., methanol-burning, mud-slinging World Of Outlaws winged sprints, wage war at Battleground Speedway in the Spring and Fall. SUPR Late Models, and the Texas Grand.
